ScarTrack — Scar Care Log ("the App") is published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the App. The short version: your scar photos and personal data stay on your iPhone. We have no servers that hold them, and the App works without an account.
1. Your Scar Photos & Body Images
- Your photos never leave your device. Every photo you capture or import is stored only in the App's private sandbox on your iPhone.
- The App does not upload, transmit, stream, back up, or store your photos on our servers — we operate no servers that receive them.
- Guided-capture alignment, scale-marker detection, and optional LiDAR measurement all run on-device using Apple's Vision and ARKit frameworks.
- Photos are removed when you delete the scar, delete the individual photo, or delete the App. They are never written to your main Photo Library unless you explicitly export them.
- If you choose to share or export a report via the iOS share sheet (Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files, etc.), you control where it goes — we do not see it.
2. Data We Store Locally
- Scars & protocols: The scars you add, their origin type, body location, dates, and the assigned protocol template. Stored locally via SwiftData.
- Adherence logs: Your silicone and massage completions, durations, and streaks.
- Photo metadata & measurements: Capture dates, calibration data, and optional relative length/area measurements tied to each photo.
- Preferences: Reminder settings, measurement preferences, and theme.
- Purchase status: Subscription state is managed by Apple's StoreKit and cached locally for feature gating.
3. Permissions We Request
- Camera: Only when you take a guided photo of your scar inside the App. We do not capture in the background or while the App is closed.
- Photo Library: Only if you choose to import an existing photo, or to save an exported report. We access only the items you pick via the iOS picker — we do not enumerate your library.
- Notifications (optional): Used only to deliver your silicone, massage, photo, and milestone reminders. You can disable them in iOS Settings at any time.
The App does not request location, contacts, microphone, or health-record access.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses one third-party service:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Manages subscriptions and purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
The App contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking SDKs. We do not embed AdMob or any ad network in either the free or Premium tier.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All scars, photos, adherence logs, measurements, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
- No photos, measurements, or device-identifiable content are transmitted to or stored on our servers. We have no servers that hold user data.
- Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.
- The App's core features work completely offline.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your photos, measurements, or adherence data with any third party. Because your data never leaves your device, there is nothing for us to share.
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Delete individual photos or an entire scar from inside the App
- Use "Delete all local data" in Settings to erase everything at once
- Delete the App to remove all local photos, logs, and preferences
- Export your data as a PDF or CSV at any time (Premium)
- Disable Notifications, Camera, or Photo Library permission from iOS Settings

8. Medical Disclaimer
ScarTrack is a personal routine and progress-tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition and does not provide medical advice. Any measurements are relative trends for the same person over time, not clinical-grade measurements. Always follow the guidance of your surgeon or clinician.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 12+ and is not directed to children under 13. Because the App collects no personal data and stores everything on-device, there is no data collection from any user, including children, by design.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
